	E4107	genuine historic document 1637 ORIGINAL DECLARATION BY DE THOU AND DANES Dated 3rd March 1637 A declaration by Jacques Danes, Francois Auguste de Thou and Jacques Auguste de Thou. Danes married the sister Madelaine de Thou and she having died, made provision for his sister-in-law, Loise de Thou, married to De Ponta, should his son, Henri Danes, predecease her. All three men signed the Declaration, Jacques as the Abbe de Bonneval. This generation of de Thous were the children of the famous French historian, Jacques Auguste de Thou (1553-1617). When Cardinal Richelieu was at the point of death (4th December 1642) he roused himself to order the execution of the King's favourite, The Marquis de Cinq-Mars and his friend Francois Auguste de Thou, for conspiring with Spain against Richelieu (12th September 1642). They were betrayed by the King's brother, Gaston d'Orleans. A novel and opera were written based on the plot. size of the paper is approx 290mm high 210mm wide and written on both sides. 	E4108	genuine historic document 1832 ORIGINAL KING FERDINAND II LETTER Dated 8th November 1832 King Ferdinand II was King of the Two Sicilies 1830-1859 and known as 'Bomba'. Written at Naples by King Ferdinand II to his aunt Maria Cristina Amelia (1779-1842) the sister of Francisco II and Queen of Charles Felix, King of Sardinia. In the letter he thanks his aunt for her congratulations on his marriage to Princess Christina (known as Maria Isabella). In 1848 Ferdinand ordered his navy to bombard Messina for which act he was nicknamed 'Bomba'. size of the paper is approx 230mm high 185mm wide and written on both sides. 	E4106	genuine historic document 1805 ORIGINAL LETTER MENTIONING LORD NELSON Dated 31st August 1805 This letter to Captain Macpherson of 78th Foot from his father James Macpherson. The letter includes a reference to Nelson, "I find Lord Nelson is arrived in London" total size of the paper is approx 225mm high 365mm wide. It is folded in half to give 4 sides. Two are covered with the letter, one has the addressee and the other is blank. £45.00
